The Sitka ST is a nimble, lightweight kayak ideal for day touring. The Sitka features a blend of Fathom touring kayaks' performance, efficiency, and precision with our recreational kayaks' playful agility. Plus, this seaworthy kayak is fully outfitted with perimeter lines, bulkheads, watertight hatches, retractable handles, deck bungees, and an advanced Infinity Seat System (with either backrest or backband).

• Thermoformed ABS Construction:
  One of the most significant aspects of Eddyline’s kayaks is the use of thermoformed ABS plastic. This construction offers the durability and toughness of traditional rotomolded plastic but with a fraction of the weight. The thermoformed process also gives these kayaks a sleek, glossy finish that not only looks good but also helps improve performance by reducing drag on the water. The material is also UV-resistant, meaning the kayak can handle exposure to the sun without significant degradation over time.
• Lightweight Design:
  A common issue with touring kayaks is that they can be heavy and cumbersome, especially when loading or unloading them from a car or transporting them to the water. The Sitka series, thanks to the ABS construction, manages to remain lightweight, with the Sitka ST weighing just 43 lbs, the Sitka LT at 47 lbs, and the Sitka XT at 50 lbs. This makes them much easier to handle solo, especially during portages or when setting off on solo paddles.
• Skeg System:
  All Sitka models come equipped with a retractable skeg, which greatly improves the kayak's ability to track in challenging conditions like wind or currents. The skeg can be deployed or retracted as needed, allowing for greater control over the kayak's direction without sacrificing maneuverability. The system is simple to use and doesn’t require the same maintenance as a rudder, though a rudder option is available for those who prefer it.

  Touring kayaks need to have ample space for gear, especially if you’re planning a multi-day trip. The Sitka series provides plenty of storage with sealed hatches both at the bow and stern. The Sitka ST offers a bit less room compared to the LT and XT, but all three models have enough capacity for camping gear, extra clothing, food, and more. Additionally, each kayak has deck rigging, allowing you to store items like a bilge pump, paddle float, or spare paddle within easy reach.
